Tips for Hosting
Make as many recipes ahead of time as you can to free up time on the day of your party.
Many of these recipes freeze well, can be baked ahead of time, or prepped ahead of time.
- Freeze the smoothie ingredients in packs the night before.
- Pre-bake the muffins and oatmeal bars.
- Pre-cut and prep charcuterie board ingredients.
- Pre-mix the crepe batter the day before. (Crepe batter actually performs better after it has rested for a while.)
- Pre-make the pancakes and waffles and reheat the day off. You can either freeze the waffles and pancakes if you’re preparing them several days in advance, or stick them in the fridge overnight.
- For the waffles, cool them completely on a wire rack before storing in an air-tight container. Thaw, if needed, then have guest’s reheat their waffles in a toaster, or batch heat them in the oven at 350°F for 8–10 minutes.
- For the pancakes, follow the same process for cooling and storage. Thaw, if needed, and reheat in your oven at 300°F for 5–8 minutes.
